Any way to tell an engine is a reman?

Hey, real quick:

is there any code or number or anything that would show that an engine is a reman? anything to trace the engine back to the original dealership that sold it?

i am without a receipt...but i'm sure it's a reman.

Usually on typical reman's there will be a identifying plate 'hotglued' to the block somewhere. My Fc has a reman in it, the plate is glued to the front cover just beside the water pump housing and beneath the CAS. On my Conquest there was also a plate glued to the back of the block near my starter.

Hope this helps and GL.
