Any vaccum lines supposed to be open?

There is an open line just in front of the UIM -- is it supposed to have a hose on it? If so, going where? I don't see any loose hoses anywhere.

this would be under and behind the vacuum tank.

Thanks

This has been covered many times in the past few years

That pipe is supposed to be open on a 5 speed FD, it's for use with the auto trans.

Ok well that solves half of my questions but what about the other vertical pipe right next to it? I've looked at a few other people's "nest" and it seemed to be routed to different locations. The diagram is a little hard to decipher right there. Sorry for the noob question.

The pics below might help. Left pic is my sol rack removed, and you can see the 2 open ports. Middle pic is the sol rack on the engine, and you can see the large 6 mm vac hose at the left of the purple-coded hose, running up and left, and connected to your port in question. You can also see the large hose in the far right pic (it's the one with orange numbers on it), angling down and to the front of the car, but I cannot see its termination in that pic.

Thank you. I'm just happy to see that it doesn't go back under the UIM and I can proceed. I'm finding that as I just keep assembling things they kind of fall into place, but just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to backtrack too far. I still have no idea where it winds up, but thank you. It's much appreciated!

One more pic of that hose from the front of the car, running toward you and down to the left. That's all I have.

Very much appreciated. I'm going to guess it goes to the other hard pipe arrangement that I have laying around. TY for saving me the hassle of removing the UIM again and scratching my head. At least I know I'm making progress...I knew I shouldn't have taken it all apart until I knew I was going single. Now I just want to get it running...we'll see how it is with newer turbos that aren't blown. Two years of being a paperweight is finally coming to a close (hopefully anyways).
