Hi folks. Does anyone have some good close up photos or their "simplified solenoid/ rat's nest"? I am in the process of doing something like the simplified setup on Robinette's site but would like to see close up photos of the new rack.

Don't know if this will help, but here ya go. This is more of a custom. I removed some of the unnecessary plumbing and repositioned a solenoid. The larger hose in the middle is the (former) TB coolant line that was retained for my temp gauge sender.

Thanks. It does help a little to remember where stuff goes. I am looking to get a pic of something similar to the one on Rob Robinette's site where the solenoid rack is positioned behind the alternator running side to side instead of inline with the engine.

ill post a pic up for u tommorow when i take my intake mani off, i dont have any hardpipes and just the charge, relief, and the 2 turbo control solenoids.

Thank you. That would be great. I could just put it back in the original spot with the required solenoids but if I can put it where I can see it with the UIM on it will help immensely. Especially when I foul something up putting the vacuum hoses back on! Good learning experience though.

Purolator "PUREONE". They used come in that metal-flake color. Now they're a pale yellow with the "sure-grip" texture finish.

You need to relocate your coil packs some where they wont get heat soaked.

I was so pissed when they changed to the hideous yellow color. They use to be one of the best functioning and best looking filters on the market...now they just filter well.

what do you do with the solenoid connectors after the solenoids are removed? do you just leave the connectors unplugged or do you cross them with some sort of resistor?

at the same time your doing the rack up grade you really should move the coils. There are two places to move them that will make them last longer and not get heat soaked.
