Any non-sequential guys use the Blitz SBC ID III for boost control?

Just curious if anyone is using the blitz SBC ID III for boost control of their non-sequential turbos.

As I go over my low dyno numbers more and more, I'm beginning to think that I either have a boost leak somewhere or my gain settings are too low on the controller. I was driving on the street 3 nights ago and even on the dyno, I realized I'm not getting full boost until almost red line. Right now my gain settings are the default of 10, but I'm thinking about upping them to 25, then possibly to 50 to see how it changes the boost response. If there isn't a whole lot of change, then I must have a boost leak somewhere because I should be getting full boost before 4k RPMs to redline.

Anyone have a blitz SBC ID III with the stock twins ?

I was reading the manual and it says for internal actuator style gates you usually don't have to go over 5-15 on the gain settings. Hmmmmmm interesting

I'm running the blitz with my full non sequential up to 15 psi. I use a gain setting of around 5 for 13.5 psi and above. Below that I live with the bit of spike it makes at above a gain of 5.

Wow.....ok so then I must have a boost leak.

My gain is currently set at 25 now, and I still don't see full boost until I'm almost at red line. I'm going to have to position my boost gauge vacuum line on the Y-pipe and my boost controller at the intake and see if there is a big difference between the two. Otherwise I probably have a leak somewhere.

Thanks

I believe Westbrook uses a Blitz model and he used to run nonsequential before single.

I'll drop Chuck a PM

My buddy is coming over now with a pressure tester, we are going to see if we can find any leaks.

I'm sure I have one, or the gain isn't set correctly. If you look at my dyno graph, that isn't boost creep really. The boost was set at 13psi, look how long it took to reach that.

Where did you tape the pressure sensor line to on the LIM. I have a tapering off of boost and think maybe taping off the y pipe might clear that up. Will have to find out where Chuck is taping off of as it seems you would want it as close to the compressor as possible for reaction of the solenoid.

Well I pressure checked the car, I had a massive boost leak from the back of the upper intake manifold. One of the vacuum nipples up there was completely missing and it was blowing most of the air out.

The pressure tester would only hold 3 psi like that, and once I fixed it and did it again, it would hold 12psi + and ended up popping the pressure tester off the intake pipe back at me lol

So I'd say it's safe to say that was my problem on the dyno, I also had a coupler that wasn't clamped down connecting my intercooler to the greddy elbow.

I'm going to try and fix this stuff tonight ( I have the intake manifold off right now because a piece broke off of the throttle body and I'm having a tough time fixing it)

Once I get it all fixed, I'll go out for a spin and see how it feels and if the boost response is there again.
