your turbos are probably still very strong, mine have about 25k on them and they boost great. also with your hesitation problem, if it happens around 3000 rpms then your going to need to search up the 3000 rpm hesitation. I believe the solution is some ground wires.

good luck and enjoy that piece of history

well grounding doesnt always help. i grounded my engine out in 3 or 4 extra places and i still got it, the only sure fire way is to go with an aftermarket ECU.

hey mahjik i thought David was from Tennessee?

Also the slight hesitation could be from the injectors... As far as the turbo mileage your still way ahead of the game with only 30k on them.

Congratulations on the FD. Since you are a mechanic, you are way ahead of me. Even if you don't know rotaries, just having a good grasp of mechanics will help tremendously. I suggest you download a copy of the Factory Service Manual. It has a wealth of knowledge and, unlike me, you will be able to actually understand what you read.

Also read through all the stickies and all the threads listed in the FAQ. Great stuff there. I would just drive the car now and learn about it before you tackle and major changes.
