hey guys new to the roty world just bought 1993 rx7 TT im a honda mechanic by trade so this is all new to me i picked this up very cheap from someone who knew nothing of what they had for 7500 it has a few hiccups i call em and was wondering if some of you guys could point me in the right direction of the problem.when i try to accelerate fast it falls on its face for a split sec and then kicks in feels like a normal motor with a miss fire also the turbos seem to be kickin well but i know theres 30000 on em so they need freshening up where and how much should i be looking at to do this, im in central florida near tampa bay any help would be nice would love to pick someones brain a bit about these motors if anyone can help feel free to email me or pm a message. oh and heres a pic of the car as it is i bought it yesterday.thanks email me at

your turbos are probably still very strong, mine have about 25k on them and they boost great. also with your hesitation problem, if it happens around 3000 rpms then your going to need to search up the 3000 rpm hesitation. I believe the solution is some ground wires.

well grounding doesnt always help. i grounded my engine out in 3 or 4 extra places and i still got it, the only sure fire way is to go with an aftermarket ECU.

Congratulations on the FD. Since you are a mechanic, you are way ahead of me. Even if you don't know rotaries, just having a good grasp of mechanics will help tremendously. I suggest you download a copy of the Factory Service Manual. It has a wealth of knowledge and, unlike me, you will be able to actually understand what you read.
Also read through all the stickies and all the threads listed in the FAQ. Great stuff there. I would just drive the car now and learn about it before you tackle and major changes.
