I've heard that the Super Down's make the rear-end "wiggle" side to side under hard acceleration. Is that true for your car, or is it something else? I want to get a 2" drop also, but that's the only thing I found out about them and it doesn't sound good.

Damn! I scrape over some speed bumps with stock height. How do you guys manage? Stock ground clearance is 4.5" subtract two more and you're taking out anthills.

I have a Veilside C1 front and 18" wheels, but damn, I've only drug my front a total of maybe 3 times. This car is my daily driver too, so it's not like I only take it out 3 times a month. What kind of mountains for speed bumps are you going over?

Not my front end, my frame rails. Pensacola sucks. Stay away from the malls. I just learned to avoid certain areas.

Everyone around here drives pickups, so they could care less about those of us with nice vehicles.

kelrx7r1 beautiful car do you ever go to seaside park i think i might have seen your car down there last summer. a girl was drivin it but there was a guy in the passenger seat. also are tanabe superdowns a 2" drop? i was lookin at some sping kits and i couldn't find superdowns i found tanabe precedos which are rated at a 2" drop as well. how well would an 18" wheel fit with a 2" drop?

The tanabe super downs are the same as the tanabe precedos. Their full name is tanabe super down precedos. I have a set of these for sale if anyone is interested. They have about 2k miles on them in perfect condition. If anyone is interested e mail:

that's mine, anyone know how many inches it is lowered? I know for a fact that it is... I visit my RX7 dealership and compare stock height to mine frequently.

What are the spring rates? Linear or progressive? Isn't 2" a little too low without going to a higher spring rate?

Ive heard a lot of people complain about there 2 inch drop. Sayin it rubs like hell, is this true? I just ordered my 18's from japan so I got about a month an a half before I get them. I was thinking of droping my car, but not if it rubs.

i think 2" is a bit too much for a fd...though it doesnt have much frotn overhang 2" still seems to be a LOT...my previous car was abotu 3" off the goround had about the same overhang as the FD and that seemed optimal for goign over most speedbumps and everything else on the road. but u still do have to watch out fro everything...it was my daily driver and without loosign practicality as well as ride PERFORMANCE there is no point to go any lower unless u travel at speeds 160+ all the time and cant have that extra air going unde your car...more then an 1" woudl be overkill on fd...my .02$

whatever mine is, i can go over speedbumps if they are INCREDIBLY low, and I mean 2-3" speedbumps at 0.1 mph

i scrape coming out of my driveway if i don't do it at an absolute crawl

I think the FD is already too low. I park at the mall and worry about hitting my facia like I did once before.

How do you like the ride on your springs? Are they stiff or are they soft? How about when you launch? I have those springs and have 19". Kinda scared on the outcome
