Another starting problem- did search
Well I found alot of good info. in the search, but not what my problem was.
Problem:
Car starts fine, BUT if I turn it off and try to start it back up nothing! No clicking, gauges light up and everything else seems to work. If I let it sit for a few hours or try it the next day it starts up first try and runs fine. No problem till I turn it off and try to start it again. Any help? Pulling starter out today. TIA

I actually had the exact same problems as what your describing, i start my car off of the battery charger and would start and run just fine but if i shut it off i had absolutely nothing for a couple hours, so decided that i would go buy a new batter, hooked it up and haven't had the problem since then, might try doing that if you have the money to buy the new battery.
Thanks, but don't think it's the Bat. It's only a few months old and everything else works fine, gauges, radio, lights and all. Just nothing from the starter. Was thinking maybe the starter solenoid was overheating or something. Since it was good for only one start. But would be good to go a few hours later.
Just wanted to post a big thanks for this thread. I had the exact same problem. I thought I was going to get into the starter, but checking the clutch switch took all of 10 seconds and that solved it. Looks like this is going to be an easy fix.
Try adjusting the clutch switch first before purchasing a new one. You have to adjust the new one anyway. If you have a VOM meter, connect the leads to the terminals. Set the VOM on ohms, push the clutch until it reads zero ohms and mark it with a fine permanent marker.
Now adjust the screw so that the clutch pushes the switch pass this mark. Zero ohms means a circuit is passing voltage. None means there is a break.
While you're under there, you may want to also replace the plastic stopper for both the clutch and brake pedals. I used a flat head bolt and double locked it with two nuts, one for adjustment the other to lock it in place.
Good luck and happy driving!
