Presently I am allowing the stock wastegate spring to maintain boost at 7 psi and I have made a few WOT runs with the stock intake on. The car pulls very strong but runs out of breath half way through 3rd gear because of the low boost (7 psi) feels like it needs more air ...more boost to continue accelerating as it does in 1st and 2nd but 1st and 2nd pulls very hard.
I am going to be putting on the Pettit Intake tomorrow and was wondering if I shoud be ok to make some WOT runs with this set up and the same 7 psi wg spring boost controller???
I am in the process of buying a Profec B but I was wondering if I will be ok to use the profec B and set the boost back at the stock 11 psi or even 14 as a max pressure. Stock the boost I was getting was 11 psi all the way to red line in all gears ..and that was before I did all the mods.
I have a cosmo pump in a box and haven't installed it yet as I may change the fuel set up later on. Would installing the Cosmo pump help any? I also have an SX regulator..
Do you think I can install the Cosmo pump and the SX regulator and turn up the fuel pressure a little ..say 42 psi base and make a WOT run with the pettit intake installed at 11 low and 14 psi high... boost set with a manual boost controller.. i'e home depot ball valve as a restrictor pill???
What do you all think??
