Cool Am I safe with a boost Controller?

Hey all, I'm putting some new parts on my car but I've hit a road block. I've got the intake/exhaust/downpipe/boost gauge routine down and I wanna go a bit further, but I'm concerned with the motor's saftey.
Can I just buy a Boost Controller - set it at around 12 psi- and survive off that until I've got enough funds to buy a standalone engine management system?

The boost controller I was looking at was the Blitz Electronic controller. but tell me what your personal favorite is. Also some sugestions on favorite Engine Management Systems would be nice too. Thanks alot!

I'd keep it at 10.

now can I put a midpipe on the car if I keep the boost at 10 with the boost controller?

You won't be able to keep the boost at 10 with a midpipe, even with a boost controller. You will get boost creep, from more flow than the wastegate can handle.

yeah, i just asked this like a day ago, Either you port the wastegate and keep your boost at 10 (dtill dangerous) or buy a power fc, set it for 12 psi (which is about as much as it will creep to) and you should be set.
