am i going to need EMS ?

street ported motor w/ DP, MP & RB dual exhaust... everything else stock...

or will i be able to get by until spring when I go single.

I'd go ahead and get a PowerFC, get comfortable with it, then you'll be more ready for going single. Actually, I'd get all you can out of the stock turbos (intercooler, fuel system, etc.) so you'll have the foundation laid for a big turbo.

i know I'll def need it then but it would be unsafe with a ported motor and full exhaust ?

Actually, it would be MORE safe. Tuning in proper air/fuel ratios and spark advance are the key to long engine life.

It would be a really good idea. Remember the 3 mod rule, 3 engine mods or more and it's time for an EMS. Especially with a ported motor and free-flowing exhaust.

Get the PowerFC or even a plug and play ECU such as M2 till you are ready to go single. At the very least get yourself a Profec or something to control boost and set it to 9 or 10 psi. In this weather, you will spool up quicker than you can control boost with your right foot and blow the motor.
