Am I crazy, or is my airpump pulley not correct?

Ive been trying to figure why the OEM 5Kpk1355 belt does not fit (way too loose). My hunch is that the airpump not OEM and the pulley size is wrong.

am I nuts?

sleeping on it, I think it might be the airpump off an automatic.

The diameter of the pulley on my airpump is close to 5 inches. Its hard to get an exact measurement while it is on the car.

You may still be nuts

For the Daily Double....I have an OEM belt part number of N3Z1-18-381-9U for the manual. N3Z2-18-381-93 for an automatic. You could check those against the belt you have.

i don't have a good pic, but that pulley is smaller than mine. i did learn that the pulleys come right apart, and the guts seem to be interchangeable, i'm running a 20B airpump with an FD pulley.... and the wrong belt, the belt i had was for an a/t, its on the tight side

lol. Good call, its N3A413810A! Automatic transmission airpump! Still scratching my head why Mazda would use a different airpump. But that explains why the belt was so loose.

Going to look around a bit for the correct airpump, keep the auto one as a spare.

You probably have an automatic airpump or belt.

Just go down to an auto parts store and buy a shorter belt.
