Aluminum oil filler neck
O.k guys, I know it's been a while but here it is! It was too much of a pain to make an exact copy of the original. I need to get this fitted to make sure it fits properly and does'nt get in the way of anything. After fitment is established, I will get in contact with the person I have been dealing with to see how he wants to set up purchase of this part. Will get back to you guys a.s.a.p. Also, post your interests. Don't remember who and exactly how many of you guys wanted one from the original post.
One more thing, my original cap fits fine but the aluminum one (in the pics) does not screw on all the way. Don't know why but will see whats up.
P.s. It did not come polished and the finish is not smoothe enough to just polish. It will need sanding and this will be too much work for me to do alone so, I will have to retract what I said about polishing these for you guys, sorry.

No price yet. I need to make sure it fits properly. After that is established, I will talk to the machine shop about pricing and availability. Will try to get it fitted today.

its not like you can't 'bling' them up yourself...
grab some sandpaper (120, 320, 600, 1200) start with the 120 and work up to the 1200 wet sanding the part. then grab some regular old polish and go to town on it. should be mirror shiney (almost) in about 30 min.
sometimes you can even go right to 320, depending on the depth of scratches.
if you have a buffing wheel, or bench grinder with a buffing pad you can get it done even quicker.
my point is, dont discount something because its not polished when you can do it relatively easy yourself. after the first time you do it, you'll start looking for other things to polish.

O.k guys, some bad news. I fitted it today and there's some clearance issues with the throttle body. The lower section needs to be a little longer and the curved part needs less of a curve. Also, the nipples could be a little shorter. Other than that it's fine. I will get in contact with the machine shop and let them know. Will post again when I have another one that fits correct.
Damon B, I did see one advantage over stock. If you run an R1 strut brace, you can get a better grip on the oil cap with this one. Will it be the same when the piping gets extended? We shall see.....
