Can i ask what pressure caps you are running and what are they rated at? i have just put a 16lb rated cap on mine with no probs to date

you know I had to buy the type s cap and put it on the ast tank and used the one from the tank on the engine. Type s is 1.3 bar (18psi)

The pettit unit has kind of weak cap neck and sometimes it bends and leak. I had one that leaked and I blame a little for my engine overheating and killing my engine.
I just had to buy another AST because my other AST's neck got bent out fo shape and wouldn't seal well. I wish I knew about these "billet necked" AST 's before I bought another one.
