Almost Ready.......

In a day or two I should be able to start my Rx up for the first time since when I parked it for the winter last November.

From what I have read from this forum............would it be wise to pull the EGI fuse and crank the engine over a few times first before actually trying to start the car? Does this help to lubricate the apex seals or is there no chance of any oil getting there from just a few simple cranks? Is there any benefit in doing this?

Also, do I need to disable the fuel pump in order to avoid flooding the engine while cranking with the EGI removed?

Thanks for the help on some basic stuff! But I always like to make sure I'm doing the right thing

What.......????

No one wants to confirm how stupid my questions are???

Or no one knows???

Hmmmmmmmm..............

Maybe I should of asked how many RWHP I would need (once I got my front wheels off the gound) to rocket to da moon.

I'm sure that would get me some knowledgable responses!

First change the oil before doing anything. disconnect the pump and pull the spark plugs to blow any carbon buildup out that you may have. Connect pump and reinstall the plugs and you're set. That may be overkill, but the more safety procautions you take, the better IMO. Take it for what it's worth.

Thanks Kyle, Matty

for your suggestions...........

I'm just going to remove the EGI fuse and crank it over 5-10 times then re-install fuse and viola!

Hey Kyle, have changed the oil and installed a Greddy SMIC among a few other things in the last little while. That is why I still have not had the Rx on the road yet this year.

Still have a SR motorsports programmed PFC and controller and a bonex HF cat to install. But I though I would first make sure the cars still runs fine before I proceed further.

Currently I have put on a M2 downpipe, RB dual catback, RxFashion CAI, Greddy SMIC and upgraded fuel pump.

Greddy SMIC install pics!!!
