airpump vs underdrive pulleys

Hi guys, my airpump went out, and I am now considering several options. I can either find a used air pump, which will run me around $50, or I can buy a set of under drive pulleys from Greddy and just take out the air pump completely. I live in Cali, but I am not too worried about smog, mainly just reliability and performance. Any input is valuable.

Thank

consider adding an idler pulley in there ~150-200.00

Personally I prefer an idler pulley. In addition to Pineapple, there are a couple of other choices.......
