airpump to cat. hose size??

just a quick question, what is the size of the heater hose that goes from the airpump
to the cat. i need to buy one, i'm changing my oil today and i figured i might as well
put that hose in.

IIRC, the airpump outlet is ~7/8" and the cat's pipe is ~1/2". I ran 1/2" ID hose from the cat to a few inches of the airpump. Next, cut apart a 1/2" barbed hose coupler and inserted the nipple into the hose. Then, pushed the hose into a small run of 7/8" ID hose on the airpump and clamped over the metal insert. You'll need something in there to take the clamping load.

forgot to mention, i have a pettit hi flow. is the opening the same size?
