Not sure what it's for but yeah it goes nowhere.

 

It's just a vent tube. It is routed underneath the airbox and out the bottom.

Got nervous that I missed something.

 

on my car sometimes this tube will drip a small amount of oil when it vents. I thought I had an oil leak but traced it to this tube. Man it drove me nuts for a while. I think oil gathers over time in the tube and blows out under heavy boost. I also have a foam type filter that is oiled like the K&N filters. don't know if it will do this with the stock paper filter.
