Question Airbag light flashing

Well, after one month of down time (front passenger wheel and a curb had a fight, the curb won) My car is back on the road! Feel SO good to have a car with power

However, in my exploits of replacing the front suspension, (including the steering rack) I must have messed the airbag system up. The Air bag light constantly flashes.. I skimmed throught the tech manual, and couldn't find a section with any codes for the air bag flashes.

Anyone have a chart? Or know what section & page number to look on?

Sounds like your air bag sensor in the bumper got whacked also.

Here's the schematic... It's for a 95 with DUAL airbags though.

If the light is on steady, the bag is no good. If it's flashing one of the sensors is bad. The only way for a sensor to go bad and NOT deploy the bag would be if you dissconnected it Some of them go bad in an accident when they trip the bag. I would try there first. Track down the connections. and test them out.

The air bag light flashes codes

For instance 3 fast flashes followed by a long pause then 3 fast flashes indicate that the power supply is interrupted....That can mean anything from a bad fuse to a broken wire somewhere in the harness. For all other codes consult the big workshop manual. Don't be surprised however when you see that the only fix for some of the codes is to REPLACE the bags or wiring harnesses $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

are you supposed to get your air bags serviced after 9 years? Does the factory cover that (doubt it)?

Ooops sorry the codes aren't in the Big workshop manual but appear in the companion "Body Electrical Troubleshooting Manual". Realizing that few people actually have this manual I scanned the codes for you.

Hope this helps
