Air Temp Sensor Under Manifold, Help!!

Hi all. I noticed the PFC was not reading air temp, I check the sensor under intake manifold and noticed that one of the wires was severed. It is broken to close to the sensor to splice it. Can anyone help by telling me what to do. Should I take the sensor off, can it be reconnected easily?? Hoe do the wires stay in the sensor??
Thanks in advance

The connector does just unplug from the sensor. If it's broken off close, you could probably solder the wire together and wrap up with tape. Or, get a good plug with a short bit of wire from someone off a junk harness to use.
