air temp sensor malf

I guessing its a bad wire and its grounding somewhere but I thought I would get your guys opinions. The malfunction is random and will sometimes display negative numbers when fully warmed up or cold no matter what the running temp is. Other times it will operate normal. I think this is what is causing my random shitty idle. Let my know what you guys think.

It's probably the AIT. Most people I know with FD's have had to change theirs. FYI, Its located under the UIM on the passenger side. If your sensor is bad it could cause all the problems you explained.

Mine acts up everyonce in a while...same thing usually during warm up. It idles rough most likely due to overly rich condition, overcompensating for the lower air temps signal the ecu is getting.
It lasts a few seconds but it quickly climbs up and reads normal. havent noticed it lately though.
