Air pump removal

Ok it's really starting to get in the way.

I was thinking of pulling it off. Can I just unplug it, and cap the tube running back. How about just pulling off the belt? I did not look to see what else that belt drives so that may be a really stupid question.

I know some folks say this may reduce Cat life.

i honestly dont see the point of removing the air pump. just a waste of time and money looking for the correct size belt.

if you still have a cat, stock or high flow, DONT remove it. it will destroy the cat.

Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks guys! I'll leave it and find a way to work around the tight fit between the primary turbo inlet pipe and the air pump belt.

When I figure out something good, I'll post it.

greddy makes a pulley kit that lets you remove the air pump. i think your only supposed to do that if you have a mid pipe though. the kit cost me like 115. it looks real nice too
