Air pump question

I've searched and can't find the exact answer I need, so here is my question. I'm going for a track day this weekend and I have the Greddy pulleys setting at home. Is it ok to just remove the airpump and plug the line, or should I just wait until next week so I can remove all the emissions stuff?? I wanted to put the pulley on the water pump since I will be at the track.

Yes, you can just remove it and cap the lines.

If you just remove the airpump the car will run rough. You have to compensate for it in your tune. You'll also prematurely wear out your cat if you still have one. One track even't shouldn't be enough to kill the cat though.

Actually, it will only idle rough, so the consensus goes. I never had that problem with mine, though.

On/off throttle will also be rough without the airpump - pretty much any time the ECU is using the O2 sensor to determine mixture. I accidentally blew the airpump fuse once and I thought something was seriously broken with my car .

Will it still idle rough with a PFC?? I thought that was suppose to stop the rough idle. I know I didnt' say I had one, but I do. and I'm also not worried about the cat, if it screws up oh well I plan on getting a MP anyway.
