Please help, I have a 96 fd rx7 with the later computer, I have had eratic idle for a few weeks and had time over Christmas to check it out, I found my air pump to be inoperative. After some testing with a multimeter and tracing feeds through the air pump relay, I found that the ECU was not providing an earth to the relay. After contacting my local rx specialist and found they had found this fault before on a 96 rx and they had cured it by replacing the ECU with a second hand unit.
There is definately no fault with the air pump or relay
Any ideas on what is causing this fault?
Is this Common?
What can I do to rectify this as I wish to re-install my catalitic converter.
