FL Air Pump Electrical Wiring?

The electrical connectors to the airpump have totally fallen apart.

Until I get a new type of connector, I want to just wire it back together as a temporary thing.

Do the wires have to go a certain positive/negative way or will they work either way?

Since I don't have the connector to go by, how can I determine which wires go together (if it matters).

Last, any problems if the air pump is left unpowered? What impact would it have.

Thanks

I had read an earlier post that the wiring didn't matter since the ecu just grounds
the airpump.

But, one of the wires is definitely hot.
Went ahead and wired them together, hoping there's no downside.

Same thing happened to my connector as well, from the heat that builds up from that area.
Mine kind of exploded on my hands when I went to unplug...

Polarity doesn't matter when you plug in the wires to the airpump. I replaced it with some quick disconnects then I went with Weatherpak connectors.
