Question Air leaking sound at around 5k rpm?

When I'm driving I get a loud air leaking sound at around 5k rpm. I think it happens when my second turbo kicks in. Is that normal or is it a turbo hose leak? I'm a new rx-7 owner so I don't really know. Please help me out. I also have a sqeaking sound when I am driving slow from the rear tires. Are those my brakes or I need to oil something up?

your past 5k rpm leaking sound can be any of the intercooler/turbo hoses and pipes, do u hear this in certain gear more then others? and the squaking sound from teh rear u need to give more info. its most likely your brakes

I think the leaking sound is pretty much the same at all gears. I'm not positive, I didn't really pay much attention to that. I just got my car checked out by a mazda dealer and they changed one of the turbo hoses already also.

check your boost pattern it should be 10 psi from somewhere at 2k up to 4.5k then teh switchover point u go down to abou t8 then it recovers 4.5k+ almost imideatly back to 10 and stays till about 6k rpms then it should be around 8 psi up to redline. if you do not have a boost gauge go get one, and also get a water temp gauge just to know what the temp relly is, stock gauge doesnt tell you much

I hope your joking about the brake thing?!!

Anyway. Check the line coming from the y pipe to the charge relief valve. That may be the problem. It's the black tube apx 3/4" thick.
Next check all the lines coming from the y pipe.
Thats my first guess.
