Air intake from the wheel well?

Has anyone ever done a mod where they had their intake pull air from the wheel well? I was considering doing something like that and wanted to see if anyone had done it, and what all you fellow FD owners thought about it...would it work? Too much road dirt? Not enough air flow?

Horible Idea. I did this on a project car. It works decent up until it gets wet out side. Also you get quite a bit of head from the wheels. If you wana get a great spot to pull some cold air, get close to the ground (put the intake in one of the openings in your airdam, or put it where its at bottom of engine bay. If you do either this or the wheel well make sure you get a aem valve to prevent water from entering the engine. They got a valve that lets you keep sucking air and water but it ejects the water out of a filter in the tube. I think it was import racer who tested it out. They put a k'n filter on a nsx and submerged it halfway in a fish tank of water and it didnt suck 1 bit of water into the engine.
