air/fuel ratio readings

do the a/f readings matter only at WOT? reason im asking is because im getting numbers between 13-18 on my wideband when im gentle on the throttle and upon accelerating from a stop which indicate running lean, and i dont want this to be an issue. i havent tried hammering it WOT and getting the readings. is the range we hear about 11.5 to 11.7 refering to WOT a/f ratio? if it is then what are normal ratios for when you are easy on the pedal? sorry if it might seem like stupid question

Is the 13-18 afr when you start to I guess modulate the throttle by any chance, just for clarification?

Those ratios are normal if you mean that 17 pops up when you ''peek''. Normal idle and coasting ratios should be around 14.7. And running lean while coasting wont make you detonate but if not delt with, it will speed up the wear on the housings surface since the combustion chamber will continuously be running hotter than its supposed to. The leaner the ratios, the hotter the explosion.
