air/fuel ratio gauges?

Does anyone know how accurate these gauges are?
They are made from a company called "Defi". How reputable is this company.

I wanted an accurate air/fuel ratio gauge without breaking the bank. I have a 10 led Tei-point gauge now.
Would the Defi be any better?

Hi Rikki,

What do you suggest for tuning? At WOT? Is there anything else other than a wideband?

Yeah Rikki is correct wideband is the only real way to WOT tune without putting your engine at risk:

If you really need a AF guage i have heard good things about this place - dont know if they really work tho but the principal seems to make sence. Altho im not sure i trust a company called Gadgetseller

http://www.gadgetseller.com/gauges/index.htm

Im sure you all know that the problem with a AF meter that isn't wide band is that the O2' sensors have a very narrow voltage range(about 4vs i think), what that company do is increase the sensitivity of the guage to pickup smaller changes in voltage thus hopefully giving a slightly more accurate reading at WOT

What im planning to do is too get one of these next month and then take my car in for Wideband tuning on my AFC and compare the readings of the tuned AF guage with the Wideband. I will let you know my findings!

Still i wouldn't want to tune my engine for maximum performance on one of these things !

The problem with OEM O2 sensors is not so much the voltage range but the slope. The voltage slope is so steep on either side of stoich that they are little more than on-off switches. Because of this trying to calibrate and keep it that way with drift of the monitoring circuit is not worth betting an engine on.

Compare the price of replacing an engine to something like the oz-wb. It never ceases to amaze me how some people can be so cheap on something like this but have no problem buying "bling-bling" crap.
