Air Con shutoff

Is there a simple mod that will turn off the air conditioner compressor when I floor the gas? Then let it resume when I ease off?

hook up a full throttle switch like in a nitrous setup and use a relay to cut the power to the compressor. Altho i dont know why you wouldent just hit your button

I believe every car I have had with Air-con has a clutch, but that doesn't mean that the compressor is turned of under hard exceleration.

There was a unit called the "passmaster" or pass master" . It was a vacuum switch/relay which would open the circuit to the compressor at low vacuum which is full throttle. With a turbo engine it may not work due to the difference in pressures in the manifold. Try Google it may help you. I am sure a lot of newer engine computers open the circuit at full throttle surely the sport models and smaller engine packages. I work of general motors and most all engine packages open the A/C circuit at WOT.

To elaborate on what JSJ and clayne said:
Our FD's AC clutch is controlled by the AC relay. The AC relay is controlled by the ECU. The ECU disables the AC at WOT and at warmup. It re-enables it a few seconds after you let off of WOT. If yours isn't doing this, check your TPS.
