Ahhh...the suspense

Well about two weeks ago I was having problems with breakups at around 4-5K RPM and then I was driving and I had two more breakups followed by my engine dying....I pulled over and tried to start it again and it just turned over and over so my inital thought was the engine flooded....well I finally got some new sparkplugs and I just pulled them out and well...they were not what I was expecting....they were black and sandy colored but they were not wet....

Now I am watching the kids and I cant put the new ones in and I am wondering...did my engine really flood or did it die....what are your thoughts???

If it died while driving, it's more than likely not flooded. Tough to buildup gas while it's running, know what I mean?

I'd think maybe a fuel problem though. With breakups at high rpm, and then a non-starting engine I'm thinking maybe clogged fuel filter? But thats just an uneducated guess.
