i thought a good paint job is like 5g, twice how much wheels and tires would probably cost.

so if i were u, i would get 17's and save more for a rainy day... just my .02
18's do not cost much more than 17s. I went with 18s because they were like $150 more total than the 17s.

rotorbrain - the $20 bar works fine. I've not yet measured, but I don't see or feel any deflection in the bar. Plus, my slalom transition time decreased, and some creaks and pops went away. Not all of us can afford a $250 R1 bar.

Back to topic, I think you should get the rims first. Did you try cleaning, polishing and waxing the paint? A good three step can clear up a LOT of fade.

I agree with the above statement. Try using Zymol on your mirrors/spoiler if they are faded. You'd never believe they could look like that without new paint!

I suppose the question would come down to, what do YOU want? if you like the color of your paint, then try buffing the hell outta it, maybe save yourself a couple grand. If you plan on adding body mods, better wait till those are on. If you want a quick upgrade in appearance, get those rims. Beware that after you have either the paint or the rims, you'll want the other eventually; and taken from that point-of-view, i'd get the rims first. Simple.

Screw the rims and paint!

Power mods! There's no such thing as too much power.

Man go to a professional detailer (a seriously good place) and tell them you want the paint "cut down" and then waxed. It'll cost you somewhere between $75-$200 depending on where you live really. I can get it done for $75 here but thats prob kinda rare.

Anyway, it'll made a HUGE difference in you paint if its jsut faded. Of course its not going to help dent and chiped paint. But you can get dents removed pretty cheap as well. In stead of getting you car painted just get it touched up like that and spend a couple hundered on getting it touched up and dents removed.

Then spend the rest of the money on mods of wheels which ever you want. Personally I'd go with mods but thats me. If the car is running good and already fast enough for you then just do what ever you want its your car.

But unless you have terrible chips and all that I wouldnt worry about paint.

Nothing wrong. It just the worst tires money can buy out there.

BF goodrich G-force T/A KDW, Yokohama AVS Sport, and Bridgestone S-03/S-02 are a lot better.

The only Nittos that are worth putting on your car at the 555 Extreme Drag Radials......ALL other Nittos are POS tires!!!

Tires are VERY important, they are what will keep you out of a ditch in the rain!!!! Get some Bridgestone S-03/S-02, they are the best dry/wet tire you can get. If they dont keep you out of a ditch then you need to slow down.

The other tires are pretty expensive. I've heard Nitto 555's are decent. I'm not going to be using these tires for aggressive driving but for road use. Once in a while I'll be doing some runs but for the most part...just chilling. Plus, I dont really want to pay over $200 a tire =).
