Nope .

Some people have talked about running external wastegates with the twins but no one I know of has succeeded.

That's some SERIOUS fab work to do so, and really with a ported wastegate you typically have decent boost control. That's just a lot of work for not a lot of benefit.

The problem is the stockers seem to be at their limit at around 18 psi so running and holding higher boost is a problem.

thats well above the efficiency of the turbos anyway. dangerous without running race gas or a/i

getting BNRs are more efficient at that boost level

Yeah, anything above ~14psi on the stock twins and you're just flogging the air and overspinning the turbos. You're also shortening the life expectancy of the twins by a large margin.

If you want more boost, you don't need a new wastegate to do that. Hell, unplug the wastegate hoses and you'll have more boost than you know what to do with. And a blown engine .

I ran 17-19 psi on the stock twins for almost 10 years. Look at the dyno's of the hp between 14 psi and 17 and there is a difference.

And that's why you want wastegates that can handle more than 18 psi.
