aftermarket radiator...which ones best?

I just ordered a radiator though sportcar motion, a PWR one. Just wanted to see what NE of you thought as far as which one is best, koyo, fluidyne, etc. Take into account measures such as a better heat capacity, fittment for FMIC later or NE thing like that. Thx for the replies, hopefully I went with the right one here.

As far as I know, there is no 'best' radiator. Pretty much any of them are better and more efficient then the stock POS.

Any of the larger radiiators out there are better then the stock plastic one. They all offer better cooling capacity.

I have the PWR and so far so good. Prior to that I've had a stock one (failed and started leaking) and a Mazdacomp (also failed and started leaking...WTF?).

I have a Koyo and helped my buddy install a Fluidyne in his 94. Both installed easy and fit great, and neither of us have had any cooling issues in the Texas heat!

no idea about fmic fitment issues...sorry

good luck!

Seems like you should have asked before you went out and bought one. The simple answer is that any larger capacity radiator will work better than the stock one. The big issue is what fits better.

Do a search if you are going to send yours back. There are many threads where this has been discussed.

Any aftermarket one is a better alternative to stock. All of them will cool nicely.

That's strange. My radiator looks to have brass/copper color end tanks (painted black). I don't see any plastic on it. Is this a stock radiator?

Koyo or Fluidyne are the easiest installs...i.e. mostly direct bolt in. These is debate about aluminum vs copper cores but everyone agrees bigger is better.

I think the cheapest route is to buy something from pegasus or a radiator mfg...maybe a big **** nascar core. I belive there is a thread showing that the stock rad is fine for stock applications but the plastic ends are a reliability issue. Maybe on the scuderia site..I cant remeber.

There are group buys for radiators going all the time so I went koyo. motor has much happiness now cools off much faster when the fans kick on.

I would say probaly out of those Fluidlyne or koyo are the better or more popular it seams like. Know a few guys that have the Fluidlynes and like them.

No leakage at all.
