aftermarket filter in oem air box

Does anyone have suggestion on what company should I get my air filter from. I was thinking about k&n hearing that they have bang for the buck.

K&N Flows the best, and is okay for dust and crap, allthough I don't think it filters the best. I'd say change your Oil often...

Go with a K&N. I believe it's the only aftermarket filter available for the stock airbox anyway, and while there may be some foam filters that slightly flow better or have incrementally better filtration properties, the differences are miniscule enough to be inconsequential in the long run, especially with the rotary's comparatively short engine life.

How are the oem air filters compared with the K&N.

Their filtration properties are better, but the tradeoff is less flow. It should be noted that just dropping in a K&N filter into the stock airbox won't provide any noticeable increase in power. You'll need to get rid of the restrictive stock intake snorkel, and get one of adamC's "Cheap Bastard" stock airbox modifications to realize any benefits (along with other upgrades like a DP and CB...).

If all you're interested in is filtration properties, then stick with the stock filter.
