Aftermarket Exhaust + Aftermarket Warranty = Trouble ?

I was wondering if exhaust and an aftermarket warranty from a car from lamotorcars will void my warranty since it looks like it already has an exhaust on it but I don't know what brand? I don't want to get shot in the foot since I am seriously thinking about buying a car from them. Thanks for any help.

all you have to do is pick up a stock exhaust...swap them if you have to EVER take the car in.

my warrantee got voided from my first mods...a racing beat intake and my suspension.

so....keep yer exhuast...dont ever have any work done unless you swap it back to stock...even pay the mechanic to do it if you can not...then call the warrantee people...most mechanics will understand and do the work for you

traric: Check out the thread in the South section regarding a guy looking for an R1 or base...

Explains the situation I was in a little bit ago.

My warranty tried to reject my tach failure because there was an aftermarket alarm system (the system was gone, but a 12V wire was spliced and capped off). They will find seemingly unrelated items and blame them for any problem. You must keep the car bone stock.

On a positive note, they did replace the gauge cluster after a lengthy argument. They were probably pissed about the $4000 turbo replacement.
