keep it under 3500 rpm with no turbo spool if you can help it for the first 1000 miles. Check ur fluids everyday and top off if needed.

Rick at Rick's Rotary recommends keeping it under 4k for the first 500 miles, then gradually rising to redline over the next 500. Boost and full throttle is fine.

I am utterly baffled by these threads. If you are having an experienced rotary mechanic rebuild your motor, just follow their break-in procedure!

Barring that, I think Rick's break-in procedure makes the most sense to me out of anyone I've heard.

Hi guys:

Thanx for your help.

I asked my mechanic and he told me under 3500 on the first 750 milles.

Now I realized that he was ok, but takeing on account that I live in Argentina, a country that has about 15 Rx7 today, and only ONE mechanic who knows about rotary, I thought that would be ok to ask to this beautifull forum for a piece of advice.

Thanx u all!

And If someone knows SOMETHING about TURBOS ( specially 20b cosmo and FD) please help me with this question!!!

This is the same advice I was given. Under 4k for first 500 also low or no boost (I think the max I did was 3lbs.). Slowly raising revs and boost for the next 500 miles. Did a couple third gear pulls up to about 7k RPM at just over 1000 miles to ensure all was well. Changed oil and filter, end of break in.

Sorry about the attitude. I would follow a mix of your builder and the Rick's Rotary suggestion described above.
