Aeromotive setup
Hello peeps, I'm back in the saddle after 7 long years of my project going no where. Decided to scrap the project and go a different route. I got a straight runner and am in the process of moving all the goodies from the project car. So here's one of my questions. I would like to see your Aeromotive A1000 setup using the stock fuel tank. I have an idea, but just don't want to re-engineer it. The project car had a fuel cell so it was easy. I saw some peeps with fittings at the bottom rear of the stock tank and some with sump. Would you all mind posting some pictures. Lot of the posts are old and the pictures are missing. I would like to see how you did the return. pickup, filter placement, etc.
Side note, I know the pump has to be at the lowest point, but are any of you running it inside the trunk with a pickup line going in the tank?
I don't mind welding the sump to the tank, but how did you guys treat the inside of the tank after welding, or did you not treat it at all? Could rust be an issue inside the tank?
