Aeromotive FPR mount

Hey guys,

I couldn't find many pictures of the mounts people used to attach their FPR to the front of the UIM, so I made one up. I figured I'd post some pics so people could see what I did and comment .

The first pic shows all the pieces. The screws and aluminum spacers came from Home Depot. The bracket I just cut myself from sheet aluminum and drilled the holes with my drill press.

Second and third pics show the FPR mounted.

Fourth pic shows the bracket on the UIM.

Anyway, it's a pretty small thing, but I figured it might help someone.

Very clean!

SIDE NOTE:
I find it funny, haven't noticed anyone on here using Synapse Engineering FPR. Just mentioning it since when i used to have my own shop we sold so many of them.

It is very nicely done. And I would love to mount mine there, however I run the twins and this space is taken. Thanks for posting, it is a nice install.

The only problem with mounting the FP to the UIM - you have to remove it to remove the UIM.

Recently I made a mount for the FPR that attaches the mount for the drivers side of the UIM.

Removing the UIM is just that much easier now.

It's a couple more bolts to drop in places they are hard to retrieve from.

Also putting it back together is more trouble - every little bit helps.

The UIM in my FD used to have the FPR and a boost control solenoid mounted to it. Moving them to other locations and/or creating a separate mount saves quite a bit of trouble.
