AEM computer working for you guys?
hey guys, im curious as to how the AEM is working. im in the market for a computer finally and now with all the new systems out its getting harder to choose. i was going to go with the PFC but the damn price is rising everywhere. i figure why not go with something that is to be better and relatively the same price(AEM). i would like to get the PFC because it has the commander that allows you to tune it on the car. i dont have a laptop so the tuning of the AEM would be messy. id probably just take it to a great dyno shop that i know. well with either sysytem that i get, i would. okay, im blabbing on...here is what i need to know.
the AEM doesnt have any way to monitor the controls like the PFC does. if you get a new part how the heck would you tune it without a laptop? especially when the time of the two years come when i have to smog it again, what do i do? i would like to take the parts back off and make it close to stock(emission wise, not visual). where again do you go? well guys, how is it working out for you?

Try the AEM section or the www.aempower.com for thier forum. There is plenty of info there. I don't feel like retyping everything. The AEM is very powerful. It is a very highly sophisticated unit. Basically, in a nutshell, if you do not know anything about tuning or you do not know anyone who can help you buy the PFC.
