Advise on replacing power steering rack

I got my power steering rack apart. I was gonna reseal everything. However, the rack itself is super crusty and I don’t think the new seals are gunna do much. Anyone have a spare rack laying around or should I just convert to manual power steering for now and use one of the electronic conversion kit later down the line?

Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Convert to manual and be done with it. It's better.

Alternatively, soaking it in evaporust for a day or 2 and then scrubbing it with a green scotch Brite will clean it up

Assuming the corrision has *added* material, and not *removed* it, maybe take it to a machine shop and have them put it on a lathe?

Its heavily pitted. It can only be a manual rack at this stage. To lathe it would narrow the shaft by a lot to make it uniform.

Grind, weld, lathe! Well, at that point you should probably just find a used rack…
