Advice: race in 4 hours, 03 supercharged Cobra VS my FD
This is a continuation from a race 9 moths ago. Don't ask me why we waited this long.

Anyway this race is from a stop or a 5 MPH roll to no more than 100 MPH.
It's going to happen at our 2:00 pm break and as it so happens there is this lonely stretch of road (About 3 miles) with two lanes each way and with a concrete center divider seperating on coming traffic, if there is even any. Only two lights: at the begining of the road and at the end, no buildings, no predrestrians, no sidewalks. It's an old road that has a Marine base on one side and a freeway on the other, so there is nothing that could be built there. Most people take the freeway not the road. Ok now that we got that out of the way.
My mods are:
Mild streetport
DP
MP
M2 CAI
High flow fuel pump
Currently I am on the stock ECU so my boost is set at 9.5 psi.
I estimate about 260 RWHP @ 9.5 psi.
His mods (from the last thread):
He had full exhaust, intake, pullies and also he said something about a tranny work. estimated 395 RWHP.
BTW i don't expect to win I just want to put up a good fight.
Any suggestions? When do you estimate he will over power me? (Considering I get a good launch). Last time I had a passenger and he was by himself but this time I am sticking a co-worker (also a rotary man) in his car ha ha...

Cobra: 2:00 pm break sounds good. I’ll have someone with me in the car, but not Sergio because my car will only hit about 30mph and then die out with that fat fool in it. 2:00pm it is then.
other co-worker: hey Jesus - how much does your car weigh???
Cobra: It weighs 3665 lbs, so it’s heavy. Plus you through my weight on there, it should be around 3800 lbs with me in it
other co-worker: ok - it's 3665+153.12+your weight - not sure you're between 150 and 160? - so let's say 160 to make it worst case - then you got 3978.12 - at about 400 HP you'll have 400/3978.12=0.1 HP/lbs - Elliot's is estimated 0.098HP/lbs (that's without him in there!) - you can go over 4000lbs to be at 0.98....I wouldn't worry at this point....

If he can drive well, I think you are going to get pulled on pretty good. It will be much worse from a 5mph roll, I think you'll get creamed in that, given the Cobra's 5-60 mph time.

^^ I already suggested that he take out a spark plug wire. He didn't go for it 
no but seriously: Do you guys think it will be a massacre right off the bat? I was thinking that maybe I'll be able to keep it together through 1st and 2nd gear.

Go from a stop.... The FD will hook better than the stang.
BTW, stangs weigh less than 3500lbs stock with or w/o a supercharger.

Hate to say it, but your gonna get stomped hard!
it took alot of work for me to finaly beat one, and all he had was exhaust and intake. :O
i finaly got him by 4 cars, but sold my car, i heard the new owner of my car raced the stang again after he got pullies and lost by 4 cars *sigh*
I had all the bolt ons plus a 1/2 bridge port....
your gonna get

Yeah, someone I know with the Stock Eaton, every bolt-on possible, running 17 PSI, on radials, with a small shot that ran a 11.09. A half bridge gets beat by 4 cars? Is it blown?

Just go for it, you have a chance
My FD Dynoed 350 rwhp, and I had a friend in the car when I smoked a brand new cobra. I even let him get the jump on me since I wasn't really looking to race. He had a car on me because of the launch in first, then I passed him in second and was about a car ahead. If you get a good launch you will have a decent race.

Careful racing on Kearny Villa Road. The cops actually do patrol that stretch and often hide out with radar just after the dip. I'm sure you'll do a few recon runs first. Be careful.
By the way... you're gonna get beat. Tell him to race you at a road course for lap times. Then you'll spank him if you can drive.
