I'm always suspicious of ebay/rebuilt/jdm motors.
You don't know the seller or the history of the motor. What happens if you take the time to build the motor up (fuel, manifolds, accessories etc) and install it and then it has poor compression/has a bad coolant seal etc? Then you're screwed.
You live in Lancaster PA? KDR is right in your area. As an alternative, I'm not too far and along with a good friend build motors on the side. We are in the middle of one engine and have another waiting, but there's always room for more

You blew your motor? I guess that's why it was running so hot for you.
That auction doesn't give me any negative vibe, but Rich is right. Buying and installing an untested, unguaranteed engine is a bad idea. When you fix something on these cars, it always saves time and money to do it right and do it the first time.
You ought to get a price from KD rotary to install a Mazda reman. While no engine rebuilding solution is 100% reliable and affordable, those two are a good combination.
Rich - is your rebuild shop in Morristown area? I'd love to check that out sometime.
