Advice on Momo rims

What are you opinions on the Momo sport rims? Would you consider these to be more of a four door family car rim, or something that would be worthwhile on a FD? I'm looking for something cheap to dress of the FD, weight need not be a consideration since I'm not taking it to the track. Any other suggestions? OZ Novas?

Jay,

If weight is not a consideration, look at the ones on Wael's car:

I can't remember if these are Blitz or not, b ut they are sold under different brand names too. Also, the Mackin Gewalt. These are two of the best looking ones, IMHO.

I have the Kinesis K58s on my car. Very very light, but very very pricey.

For a ton of wheel info for the 3rd gen, see my site:

and go to Upgrades --> Wheels. Look for info on what offsets will work, weights of various wheels, questions to ask before buying wheels, and links to tons of pictures of different wheels on FDs.

Cheers,

Steve

Unfortunately price is a consideration, and the Blitz Type 03 are way too expensive for me. Otherwise I'd stick some Racing Hart C2s on there. Maybe I'll have save up and grab a set..

Those Momo's are sweet

But they are cast and heavy. You don't have to go to the track to want performance. They are not hub centric and you need a ring. I can't remember if they are lug centric. Oh, and unless you can get a discount, Momo's are expensive.

In my experience, Momo rims have always looks excellent, weight a ton, and lighten your pocket book. There are many other rims out there that can do the same without weighing a ton or making your pocket book smaller.

Steve--

glad to see that you're on the forum. You probably don't know me....but when I first bought my R1 in Dec of 1999, between your website and advice on the Big List, you helped me immensely.

Just wanted to say thanks

I have the Momo Sport rims on my car and i love them. I get a lot of complements on them too. Mine are 17x8's all around, but now i wish i've gotten some 18's. I'd recomend the them.
