I have a coolant leak from the rear?

I noticed coolant on the ground this morning, i looked under my car and to my dismay i see coolant right behined the oil pan area! Where can i start looking for leaks? i checked the hoses to the overflow tank and the filler neck and they are all ok. Again i see coolant spilled behined the oil pan, i dont see any leak of any sort around the wheel well where the over flow tank is. Techies please help! oh by the way i have a jack at home and was wondering where would be a good spot to jack from underneath the car, I want to pin point the coolant leak, its diffinintly behined the oil pan.

Coolant behind the oil pan could be coming from several places.

1. On the driver's side of the block, under the oil filter, is a coolant hose that goes from the block to the fire wall.

2. Under the intake manifold, there is a hose that goes from under the rat's nest to the top of the throttle body.

3. Under the throttle body, there is a hose that goes from the bottom of the throttle body back under the rat's nest area.

Check these hoses for leaks. #1 you should be able to inspect from under the car. #2 and #3 you may have to remove the UIM to get a good look at the hoses.

UIM is Upper Intake Manifold.

You should be able to see the hose going from the throttle body to the rat's nest without taking anything off. The one going from the throttle body (by the firewall) goes down by the fuel pulsation damper. You won't be able to see that end without taking the upper intake off.

Are you absolutely sure it's a coolant leak, and not condensation from the air conditioner? I hope that's not an insulting question It would just suck to go to a lot of trouble diagnosing a coolant leak if it were something benign.

Couldn't it just be a leaking radiator hose? I am thinking of the upper radiator hose on the passenger side.

Well I dont have my air conditioner in effect anymore, for i did my fan mod, in order to have full effect of the fan mod i need to remove the airconditioner. Anyhow this is diffinintly coolant because its green, I find it weird that its behined the oil pan aswell. How can i access the rad hose? do i remove that plastic cover underneath to expose the rad and all the hoses? And the last 2 questions here, Is where do i add coolant in the filler neck or the overflow? and when should i check the coolant level and from what source? engine cold or warm, and from filler neck or overflow?
