advice on mechanicals following accident
Today has not been a good day. Stopped waiting to make a turn into a parking lot and a woman in a Toyota Avalon didn't notice. She gave me a pretty good shot square on the bumper and I saw stars for a while.
Cosmetically the old FD held up pretty good, the bumper cover is pushed out at the sides so I'm pretty sure the reinforcement is bent. And I'm sure more will be evident once it's torn down at the shop. My worry came as I saw some oil-like fluid draining out from underneath right after the accident, directly over the exhaust. Initially I thought might be from the rear end, but once the tow truck picked it up, I was able to check it further and it appeared to be coming from one of the rear-end mounts/bushings.
My question is this, if she hit me hard enough to burst that, what else should I be sure to check, mechanically and suspension-wise. Suggestions appreciated.

This is a given... but is there anything that is particularly vunerable from a relatively mild rear end collision? I'm confident in the shop to do the body repair, but not many places are familiar with the FD from underneath.
There isn't much back there, if you wanted you could swindle yourself a new diff out of it. Depends on how crooked you are..but make sure the allignment is good once you get it back from the body shop... FD's have great passenger protction

Well, since the rear diff sits right in the sub frame...it is very possible that the frame is totally bent...
Now, if this is true after the body shop takes a good look at it...PM me, I have a rear sub frame just dying to go back into an FD!
