Cool Advice?

Just thinking of getting a new exhaust for the car. Still got the stock one on there and looking to keep the original stock look and go for the Racing Beat dual tip exhaust. Also was considering the HKS Hi-Power exhaust. Anyone please give me a tip on what they think considering the sound of the two and performance and anything else they want to add. Thanks

I have the Racing Beat dual tip and I love it. It is very well made and has a great tone. It's not load at all but somewhat louder than stock. Do a search, there has been a lot of discussion on it and there are a few videos out there so you can listen to it.

Don't kid your self, while the RB dual tip looks stock and is reasonably quiet at 3k and below, this exhaust gets quite throaty under WOT and flows very well. I'd say you need to be behind your car to hear what I'm saying. (-:

Not sure I can answer that objectively as I believe the RB single tip to be the same as the Pettit singleas well as a few others (m2) to name another, (some of the different cat backs are made by the same company and sold to specialty shops with there name on it) I don't know if they reworked the internals for a single tip as compared to the dual, but if not then I wouldn't think the sound would be that much different and then it would be just that a matter of preference (single or dual) (eye of the beholder).

I use to never be a racing beat dual tip fan. My favorite exhaust throughout the years has been the HKS Carbon Fiber/Ti. I purchased one as soon as they came out. I still have this exhaust on my silver FD which is a single turbo car and I still love the sound it makes in general. However, my red FD has a racing beat dual tip on it and it sounds great... pretty quite under 3k and while cruising, but really has a great tone when you get on it. I would def. reccommend it for street use.
