Well, Majhik, obviously there is no arguing that it's been done, but I will bet that a characteristic of engines that bit the dust is sequential with a midpipe and that sequential with a cat has less frequency of destruction.

I get no spike. I get a smooth as glass transition and my boost is steady at 17-18 at full throat on race gas. I attribute that to PFS tuning and at least somewhat to the backpressure a cat provides & I think it provides a margin of safety.

I am sort of "stuck" at 11.6-11.7 & I have decided to live with it.

In the hands of a better launcher (like Boost7s 1.48, 60 foot) the car probably has an 11.5 in it but I don't think there are substantial advantages to non-sequential without a midpipe and I think a midpipe requires a new computer, a new boost controller, and learning to live with a weaker low end.

I only feel a slight hiccup when the boost goes down and back up, nothing major. I'm referring to some dynos where the jump looks huge, maybe some form of prespool control can smooth those?

I can only really feel my transition in higher gears.

I second the seq. setup. Had problems with my seq a while back and with the help of many forum members and their dedication on trouble shooting the system, my problem was resolved. However, I do agree the stock rats nest is a nightmare. If emission is not a concern, I would strongly recommmand go seq. simplification. Take the time to study the vacuum hose diagram actually makes alot of sense and taught me alot. I am running 14 psi on stock twins seq. setup and the transition is smoother than ever, and I truly believe if you want to stick w/ stockers, a perfect working seq setup and the best you can get for a street driven car unless you want 400+ hp, then go a different route. My car makes 360ish hp on a working seq setup and I am very happy.
