Adhesive Question

So the other day I was washing my car and my sponge caught on my "7" and it came off. Does anyone know of a good adhesive that wont disintigrate with washing and elements? Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Do you think that will hold up to environmental factors? I was just thinking this morning that I might have some of that extra adhesive that is used on those command hooks. That stuff is tough as hell.

I've always used the 3m adhesive like Ben suggested. The only thing I don't care for is how thick it is. There may be different thicknesses that I just never noticed though. It holds up very well in any environment.

it's basically what the ornaments and trim pieces originally used.

some variants are pretty thick, the type to look for is a grey compound and is only about 2mm thick.
