Adding a Bose CD player

Will a Bose CD player that typicalling goes in the lower DIN slot, plug into a R1/R2 car that has just a tape player? Are there any differences? I'm pretty sure it is plug and play, just wanting to make sure. thanks.

Ward,

I am not sure but the Bose CD player has a wire harness connecting to the tape deck/reciever. Sorry, it's been awhile since removing the stock units.

There's a Mazda/Panasonic changer with a DIN-mount control panel... the panel's in green though.
