Adding Accessories to your Car

I know alot of us run alot of accessories, (Wideband, Amps, Turbo Timers, Boost Gauges, etc.), anyway Im looking for a better way to organize the mess of wires. I know you can add a fuse block to allow easy plug in of additional accessories, but has anyone done something like this? Would someone like to give a step by step so to speak of exactly what you do, and what parts you need to complete this task.

Pics are a plus

What exactly do you have? I have gauges in the center pod, so the wires are just under the dash, and a wideband, and I just tuck the wires under the steering column when I'm not using it. There really isn't much to do to make it so you can't see wires. Just tuck them away under something like I do.

I guess if I had a huge aftermarket sound system then I could be of more help, but I don't.

I'm usually removing accessories, not adding!

I just dont like having wires spliced into other wires... you add a few gauges, a turbo timer, a radio (good ground needed), wideband display, and LCD for tuning ... you tend to start having alot of wires tapping into wiring. Im sure at one point or another it will start to get close to the amperage on the fuse. I would just rather have each of my accessories fused incase something does happen. Anyother way just seems half assed...

hey glass, i could throw a party in my engine bay so ill have as many useful accessories inside the cabin as I want

They sell them for high end stereos for cars, but i talked to one of my buddies and he told me that most late model gm cars had a block like that. So that all the wires would tie into it and it would make it look really clean.

A friend of mine had a second fuse block in the engine bay of his '91 Talon. Looked great and he had all kinds of things run on their own fuse. I'll see if I can contact him about what all was involved (IF I remember correctly he said it wasn't super difficult).
